Take some time out and go on a journey of self discovery in a safe and supportive space. Take charge of the menopause and practice techniques to reduce stress, improve your future bone, heart, and brain health. Learn how to nurture ourselves with holistic practices.
My journey as a “POF Warrior” (premature ovarian failure) started in my early twenties, known then as the premature menopause. 30 years later the journey so far has been long, challenging and a emotional rollercoaster becoming positively childless. Equally it has helped inspire me to research the best way to help myself and others in a similar position.
Lets get everyone talking about Menopause and Premature Ovarian Insufficiency!
Do you have locked up hips? Tight hamstrings? Stiff lower back? If so, the science of stretching, flexibility coaching can help. Flexibility Coaching is a targeted mobility training method that works to open up your body. No experience required, super stiff people always welcome:) I take a very simple, science-based approach that is effective for everyone.
I personally understand the challenges you face alongside 28 years as a Personal Trainer, Yoga Teacher and Breath Coach. I keep getting asked: “how do you do so much?“ Following spinal and bowel surgery, years of failed IVF, childless not by choice, premature menopause at 20 alongside other health challenges. My answer is always the same: Movement in some form, nutrition, managing your stress response. Stay active, keep moving, eat for the condition and learn techniques to manage your stress levels as much as your capabilities allow. Movement is Medicine! Develop and sustain strength, flexibility and balance. I use a combination of yoga trapeze, the science of stretching and breathing exercises to manage ongoing difficulties following bowel surgery and have seen marked progress in my recovery. I no longer feel tight in certain muscle groups; the L shape I always find myself in on a morning has gone: digestion and sleep have been completely transformed. My strength gains have been incredible. I feel free and able to move! My most recent training includes 300 hr Yoga training, the science of yoga, flexibility training, the science of stretching alongside yoga trapeze (not to be confused with Aerial Yoga that I teach) ,breath Coaching, restorative yoga, yoga for hyper-mobility and menopause wellness practitioner. These courses have proven themselves to be the best by far to date, not just in terms of helping me develop new understanding and skills but because they represent activity that can easily be adapted to suit any level of experience or ability. Anyone can do it! Flexibility training is a mat based targeted mobility/flexibility training method that works to open up your body using gravity. This is mat based and not on the trapeze although the trapeze can still be used as a tool to modify stretches. Modified tailored practice adapted specifically to your needs, capabilities and lifestyle can really help.
Clients comments:
“The breath coach session taught me how to manage my anxiety and gave me tools to use in stressful situations. But overall these situations reduced as I felt balanced throughout the day and able to cope. “
“I never stretch properly after running. Flexibility training has taught me how to easily incorporate stretching into my routine and I am now running further. “
“I have always suffered with back pain. Abigayle showed me the correct way to strengthen my posterior chain. Having my own swing at home means I can practice around sessions and manage the back pain I get from my office job. “
“The switch to online training is great. I can fit the sessions in around a very busy lifestyle. Flexibility training late in the evening when everything in the house has settled down really works for me. “
“I struggle with exercise. I feel so self conscious to attend a class or one to one training. Being in my own house made me feel comfortable. I was nervous at first to switch on the camera. But I really had nothing to worry about. The class was so relaxing and I forgot I was on camera.”
Looking for ways to manage your back pain? There is nothing more challenging than modern day life in terms of the pressure it puts on the human body. It is not so much what you are doing but what you are not doing. So many of us constantly ask doctors for the answers, which they often do not have. What if we can help ourselves with back pain.

Client review. " I never thought i would be able to practice yoga. I have had a spinal fusion, two hip replacements, and a knee replacement. I have limited mobility and I am currently unable to get down on the floor. With modifications I am able to practice Restorative Yoga on my bed. I am now starting to see improvements in my flexibility and look forward to building on this. If I can do this anyone can."
Many people think of personal training simply as supervised exercise to achieve general fitness and weight loss goals but we strive to offer much more than that.
We adopt a comprehensive approach taking into account an individuals full circumstances and offering lifestyle assessment within a programme of individualised care and support as well as a structured training regime. Crucially these elements are organised and delivered in a manageable way for our clients, helping them keep their goals focused and motivated.
There is overwhelming scientific evidence that people who lead active lifestyles are less likely to suffer from illness and more likely to live longer. Exercise not only makes you physically fitter, it also improves your mental health and general sense of wellbeing helping alleviate symptoms of stress, anxiety and depression. Physical activity can also reduce your risk of heart disease and stroke and reduce high blood pressure (hypertension) cholesterol and Type 2 diabetes. It is also known to help with obesity, osteoarthritis and osteoporosis.
Our training method:
Our coaching involves a Multidisciplinary approach to overall health and fitness. Over many years as a trainer I have often seen people stick to one method of training leading to repetitive injuries. Motivation also soon fades when boredom sets in and many go back to the bad habits they were trying to change. I have found Training in one discipline may increase your performance in the other. Combining many practices can help boost flexibility, strength, and stability in less time.
Who choose us instead of a gym? Our approach is one day at a time and one step at a time. Our method is designed to help you succeed and make changes to your lifestyle slowly. We help you take small steps, focusing on each day and work out what sensible life changes you can make. Ideal for those who require 1-2-1 support to make lifestyle changes.
This is what my client had to say:
“Having had two full knee replacements in the last five years and being told that kneeling would be impossible I am extremely pleased to say “oh yes I can”. It’s astonishing just how much I’ve gained from my sessions. My flexibility is much improved and I feel so much more relaxed and calm. I look forward to every session”

A kettle bell is one of the most efficient, effective tools for sculpting a strong body.
A cast iron weight resembling a cannonball with a handle used to perform exercises used as a dynamic tool for centuries. All in one workout. Target every single muscle group in the body with a Kettle bell instead of isolating muscle groups as you do when lifting dumbbells.
Great fat burner for any shape and size as the weight isn't evenly distributed, you have to work continuously to control the bell's shifting centre of gravity which results in major calorie burn.
Increased core stability and stabilising muscles. Stronger back and improved posture. One training item which can replace all other exercise equipment. Perform daily activities with ease.

Effective Counselling helps create an environment where an individual feels able to express himself or herself openly and in confidence, to discover new insight. The practitioner role is one of skilled facilitator enabling individuals to gain greater clarity and effect positive change for themselves.
A course of Counselling may enable you to gain greater insight and understanding to help overcome any perceived obstacles in a positive, constructive way.
In the simplest sense, life coaching is about helping you identify and achieve your goals.
Many of us at different times in our lives experience moments where for apparently inexplicable reasons we feel unable to overcome the barriers or obstacles blocking our path to success.
Coaching utilises psychological principles to overcome these barriers, enabling you to move forward feeling positive, focused and confident to achieve success in any area of your life.
A combination of Counselling, NLP and coaching skills allow you to look at problems from renewed perspectives, challenge sometimes entrenched and limiting beliefs and help you access your hidden resources of power and control.
What can I expect from the first appointment?
A first appointment is typically devoted to gently exploring your presenting concerns and developing the client/therapist relationship.
Subsequent sessions look to build on this, establishing rapport and creating an environment where you can feel comfortable and safe expressing exactly what you want to say and how you feel.
The exact number of sessions required depends very much on you as an individual and your specific needs.
When applied professionally and appropriately hypnosis is a very powerful therapeutic tool; its use as a form of entertainment however has inadvertently reinforced fears suggesting loss of control and awareness. This could not be further from the truth!
Hypnotherapy is all about enabling individuals to gain control. In the simplest sense, hypnosis is a deep state of relaxation. Believe it or not, to some degree we have all experienced hypnosis. For example, daydreams, those ethereal moments where we are simply "at one" and perhaps not consciously aware of what is happening around us.
In fact, we are fully aware of everything that is happening, but on a deeper subconscious level. Hypnotherapy is about encouraging this daydream like state to unlock an individual's full potential.
Reflexology is the term describing a certain type of massage to the feet, and sometimes the hands.
It is based on similar ideas to acupuncture in that energy lines linking the hands & feet to various parts of the body. The feet have reflex areas found on the soles, top and sides relating to all parts of the body. By massaging and stimulating areas of the feet, the corresponding parts of the body are also stimulating, helping to eliminate any blocks and restoring balance to the whole. In other words, the feet correspond to the whole of the body.
Reflexology is thought to have originated in ancient China, and has been practiced by the Egyptians, Native Americans and some tribes of Africa. A lady called Doreen Bayly, a former “zone therapy” student, first introduced it to Gt Britain in the 1960s.
Reflexology represents an excellent holistic way of releasing blocked energy flows in parts of the body and helping restore balance to the whole and promoting self-healing and may help alleviate many everyday conditions. All of us have self-healing properties, an example of which would be the elements that make up our immune system.
Reflexology helps stimulate these self healing properties systems and therefore helps the body correct itself without introducing any outside influences as well as promote feelings of calm and well being.
What can I expect from the first appointment?
As with all therapies, the first appointment involves an initial thorough consultation, followed by aftercare advice at the end.
To experience a treatment, you simply need to remove shoes and socks and make yourself comfortable on a couch ideally, although Reflexology can be performed with a client sitting comfortably in a chair. Feet are the preferred area to work on since they are more responsive, present a larger area to be worked on and are generally more sensitive. However, if for whatever reason it is not possible to work on the feet, reflexology can adequately be performed on the hands. Effectiveness and sensitivity in this area soon develops.
The total treatment time takes between 45 minutes to an hour and includes a soothing foot massage. Essential oils may also be burnt and specially selected music played to help enhance the experience.
The great majority of people report a general sense of calm, relaxation and well-being. Reflexology is a great way to let go of any tension without actually consciously trying! Depending on the exact nature of any presenting symptoms, it is perfectly natural and normal to sometimes experience sensitivity on areas of the feet which corresponds to blockages in the body whole. These feelings are very brief and transitory, followed by a feeling of release and ease. The skill as a therapist is very much to understand and respond to any sensation you experience and adopt a sensitive, interactive approach, seeking your feedback wherever possible and appropriate to guide the course of the treatment.
Indian Head Massage is part of the Ayurvedic Indian healing system. Ayurveda means "science of longevity" and looks to promote health and long life
It is applied predominantly to the upper back, neck, face and scalp yet has therapeutic benefits to the whole body, as associated with all forms of massage. However, it is particularly useful for localised benefits to the head, neck and shoulders, stimulating blood & lymphatic flow to these areas.
As well as all the usual benefits one would expect from massage; Indian Head Massage is excellent for promoting healthy hair growth, relieving mental fatigue, promoting clarity of mind, easing eye strain and increasing blood flow to the brain.
During treatment, the client remains fully clothed and seated. Indian Head Massage represents an excellent form of stress relief which can be adapted to virtually any environment.
The overall treatment time can be relatively short yet remain highly effective. As such, it is particularly useful for the office or work environment and those with busy lives.
