Indian Head Massage is part of the Ayurvedic Indian healing system. Ayurveda means "science of longevity" and looks to promote health and long life
It is applied predominantly to the upper back, neck, face and scalp yet has therapeutic benefits to the whole body, as associated with all forms of massage. However, it is particularly useful for localized benefits to the head, neck and shoulders, stimulating blood & lymphatic flow to these areas.
As well as all the usual benefits one would expect from massage; Indian Head Massage is excellent for promoting healthy hair growth, relieving mental fatigue, promoting clarity of mind, easing eye strain and increasing blood flow to the brain.
During treatment, the client remains fully clothed and seated. Indian Head Massage represents an excellent form of stress relief which can be adapted to virtually any environment.
The overall treatment time can be relatively short yet remain highly effective. As such, it is particularly useful for the office or work environment and those with busy lives.
What our customers have to say
Sports therapy treatments have helped me in both competitive and leisure cycling, helping recovery as well as alleviating discomfort, especially from an old hamstring injury. One of the things I like about Roy is the mix of a friendly yet professional approach with a wide range of knowledge, including dietary advice and exercise tips as well as helping keep me focused and motivated. I’ve also learnt the importance of rest to help achieve my goals!
My decision to start training with Abi 15 years ago was inspired! The difference in my physical condition is astonishing and rather than feeling older and more exhausted I genuinely feel rejuvenated. The move to their own premises in Framlingham and then Rendlesham has added privacy and flexibility., add massage the steam room and hot tub – well I am extremely happy (and fit).
What I like about Roy is his non-judgemental approach, his good listening skills and his sense of humour. He is very refreshing. Also what is different with Roy is his ability to combine treatments, being qualified in so many areas – Counselling, reflexology, hypnotherapy, massage and reiki, to name a few. This can be very useful, especially with an illness as diverse as ME, and a person as diverse as ME!
